Local independent businesses are the heart and soul
of any community. Nearly every dollar you spend with
a local independent business stays in the community
and helps the local economy thrive. More often than
not, knowledgeable service and a greater attention
to your needs is more prominent in local businesses.
Virtually every business in Suisun City's Waterfront
District is independent. That includes every restaurant,
every retail store and every business that provides
a service. Shopping and Dining in the Waterfront District
guarantees that more of your dollars are supporting
the local economy.

Comic Books at Waterfront Comics |
 |

Waterfront Comics located on the Waterfront
District's historic Main Street will be participating
in Free Comic Book Day, an industry promotion
created to introduce people to the wonderful
world of comic books.
On Saturday, May 5th comic book stores all
over North America will be participating. Waterfront
Comics, the area's only comic book store, will
have free comic books available and a special
visit from Stormtroopers, Jedi and Klingons
from Noon to 5pm.
Comic books are an original American art
form, created in the early days of the twentieth
century. They are fun to read, featuring a wide
range of diverse storylines that capture the
imagination of the reader, and have survived:
the dominance of radio, the ubiquity of television,
the spread of color and sound motion pictures,
the rise of videogames and the Internet.
