Movie Characters and Car to Appear at Suisun’s Waterfront District

Buzz Lightyear, Darth Vader and the DeLorean car from the movie, Back to the Future will be visiting Suisun City's Waterfront District on Sunday, August 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p .m.

Sponsored by Subway Sandwich Shop, 700 Main Street, and Waterfront Comics, 609 Main Street, of the Waterfront District in Suisun City, you are invited to get autographs and photographs with the characters and the DeLorean car, and have lunch with the characters at Subway.

Waterfront Festival - Art, Wine and Chocolate

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 2, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the annual Waterfront Festival at Harbor Plaza in Suisun City.  The festival will feature candy and chocolate vendors, wine tasting, featuring local Suisun Valley wines, fine arts and crafts vendors and musical entertainment featuring the Broadway Street Rockers from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Inner Soul from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrate the Suisun City Waterfront by sampling dozens of the top wines from the up-and-coming Suisun Valley appellation coupled with terrific chocolate treats. Dozens of unique arts and craft vendors will display and sell their art creations.
Oct. 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Suisun City Waterfront District's Harbor Plaza. Tastings are $20 for eight 1 oz. tastes, including a free commemorative glass. The Waterfront Festival is presented by the Suisun City Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District.
The Art, Wine & Chocolate Festival showcases scrumptious treats, unique art, and wine tasting from numerous local wineries, plus unique arts & crafts, and great live music.

SUISUN CITY - 07/01/2010 - An osprey carves lazy figure eights high above as coots bobble down one of myriad channels lined with tule and bulrush.

A group of sit-top kayakers is following them deep into Suisun Marsh; the paddlers will have to find their way back to open water and their starting point at the Suisun City Marina.

No matter. The channels usually narrow and end before going in too deep. But, even if they don't, what's an extra random loop or two when there is so much to see?

Shore Fest Kicks Off Suisun City Summer

Tanna Roan, a Suisun City resident, sat on a bench in Harbor Plaza Saturday afternoon, enjoying the sunny day and the sounds of Garratt Wilkin & the Parrotheads.

Coming down to the waterfront is something she and Dale Engelhart do often. Today they had the added benefit being there during Shore Fest.

“We come down here a lot in summer,” Engelhart said.
